Our Privacy Commitment

Dakis is committed to developing long-lasting relationships based on trust. Dakis has created this Privacy Statement (“Statement”) in order to demonstrate our commitment to privacy to our customers and users of this website. Dakis is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information obtained by reason of your customer relationship with Dakis. This Statement explains the types of customer personal information we collect, how it is used, and the steps we take to ensure your personal information is handled appropriately.

Who is Dakis?

For the purpose of this Privacy Statement, “Dakis” means Dakis Decision Systems Inc. All references to our Websites and Dakis’ Websites related to the Service in this Statement mean either dakis.com, inventory.mydakis.com, portal.mydakis.com or mydakis.com.

Customers using Dakis’ Services are responsible for adopting their own privacy policies, in regards to their own website, kiosks and other consumer facing points of service operating on Dakis’ Services, which they may modify as needed consistent with these principles. This Privacy Statement may not apply to websites that are accessible through Dakis’ Websites. Our Websites contain links to other sites operated by third parties, including but not limited to third-party sites that display the Dakis trademarks. Dakis has no responsibility or liability for or control over those other websites or Internet resources or their collection, use and disclosure of your personal information. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of those other sites to learn how they collect, use, share and secure your information.

Information we collect and how we use it

At Dakis, we collect two types of information: personal information and non-personal information. Personal information is information that refers to an individual or a business specifically. Personal information typically includes your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, age, income, date of birth, and credit records. Non-personal information does not identify you as an individual or a business specifically.

We require customers who register to use Dakis’ Services ("Service") to give us contact information, such as their name, company name, address, phone number, fax number, and e-mail address, and financial qualification and billing/shipping information, such as billing name and address, and credit card number. At the time you express interest in obtaining additional information, or when you register for the Service, we may also ask for additional personal information, such as title, department name, or additional company information, such as annual revenues, number of employees, website url, or industry. Separately, customers are also asked to provide an email address when registering for the Service, in order to receive a username and password. You can always choose not to provide us with any of your personal information. However, if you make this choice we may not be able to provide you with the product, service, or information that you requested. Of course, customers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of their user registration and password.

Dakis uses the information that we collect to set up the Service for individuals and their organizations. If the personal information we require is collected for a reason other than to provide products and services, your consent will be obtained before or at the time the information is collected. We may use your personal information for a number of different purposes, for example to:

• Fulfill requests for products, services or information;

• Provide customer services;

• Administer contests, promotions or surveys;

• Offer new products and services;

• Measure and improve the effectiveness of our Websites or our marketing endeavours;

• Conduct research and analysis;

• Tailor our online offerings to your preferences;

Information about individuals contained in the following documents is not considered personal information:

• Public telephone directories, where the subscriber can refuse to be listed;

• Professional and business directories available to the public;

• Certain public registries and court records;

• Certain other publicly available printed and electronic publications.

Except as we explicitly state at the time we request information, or as provided for in the Dakis Subscription Agreement, we do not disclose to third parties the information provided. All financial and billing/shipping information that we collect is used solely to check the qualifications of prospective customers and to bill for the Service.

While using the Service, customers of the Service will collect consumer personal information. Dakis will not sell or share such information. Individual records may at times be viewed or accessed only for the purpose of providing the Service, resolving a problem, support issue, or suspected violation of the Subscription Agreement, or as may be required by law.

Dakis does not sell or rent Consumers personal information to any organization or person for any reason. We do not share your personal information with third party organizations except to offer you a product or service. If your personal information is shared with third parties, these third parties are bound by appropriate agreements with Dakis to secure and protect the confidentiality of your personal information.

Disclosure to Service Providers

We may need to share your personal information with certain third parties such as our agents, service providers and other representatives acting on our behalf for limited purposes. For example, we may share personal information with third parties to perform services on our behalf such as:

• Fulfilling our customers' orders

• Sending Dakis marketing communications

• Delivering packages

• Scheduling and performing installations

• Servicing products

• Conducting research, analysis or administering surveys

• Processing credit card payments

• Other business activities

The third parties with whom we conduct business are only authorized to use your information to perform the service for which they were hired. As part of our agreement with them, they are required to follow the privacy guidelines we provide them and to take reasonable measures to ensure your personal information is secure.

Tracking information

Like many other websites, Dakis may also collect certain non-personal information from visitors to and customers of the Websites or of the Service that does not identify you. This non-personal information is used for website and system administration purposes, to help diagnose technical problems, and to administer our Websites and Service in order to constantly improve the quality of the Service. Examples include the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer, the IP address of your Internet Service Provider, the date and time you access the website, the Internet address of the Website from which you linked directly to the website, the operating system you are using, the sections of the website you visit, the website pages read and images viewed, and the content you download from the website. We may also collect and summarize customer information in a format that no longer identifies the individual, and track and analyze non-identifying and aggregate usage and volume statistical information from visitors and customers for statistical purposes. We may share with third parties certain pieces of aggregated, non-personal information. None of the tracking information in the reports can be connected to the identities or other personal information of individual users. We may also link tracking information with personal information voluntarily provided by website users. Once such a link is made, all of the linked information is treated as personal information and will be used and disclosed only in accordance with this Statement.

Cookies

When you interact with the Dakis Websites, we strive to make that experience easy and meaningful. When you come to our Websites, our Web server sends a cookie to your computer. Cookies are very small text files stored on your computer by your web browser (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, etc). The Dakis Websites require that you enable cookies. We do this because it is the most secure means to permit login access to the Service and the Dakis Websites. Cookies are used by the worlds most trusted financial institutions and are required when you do online banking because they provide the best security available. Although our cookies may contain a unique user ID, they do not collect or store any of your personally identifiable information.

Cookies come in two flavours: session and persistent-based. Session cookies exist only during an online session. They disappear from your computer when you close your browser software or turn off your computer. Persistent cookies remain on your computer after you've closed your browser or turned off your computer. They include such information as a unique identifier for your browser.

Dakis uses session cookies containing encrypted information to allow the system to uniquely identify you while you are logged in or to process a transaction. This information allows Dakis to process your online transactions and requests. Session cookies help us make sure you are who you say you are after you've logged in or to process a transaction and are required in order to use the Dakis Service. Cookies simulate a continuous connection — they let us "remember" information about your preferences and session, and allow you to move within areas of our Web sites without reintroducing yourself. You may choose to decline cookies if your browser permits, but doing so may affect your use of the Websites and your ability to access certain features of the Websites or engage in transactions through the Websites.

Links to other websites

Our Websites and Service contain links to other websites or Internet resources. When you click on one of those links you are contacting another website or Internet resource. Dakis is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these other websites. Customers and visitors who access a linked site may be disclosing their private information. It is the responsibility of the user to keep such information private and confidential. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of those other sites to learn how they collect and use information about you.

Legal Disclosure

From time to time, we may be required to share personal information in response to a valid court order, subpoena, government investigation, or as otherwise required by law. We also reserve the right to report to law enforcement agencies any activities that we, in good faith, believe to be unlawful. We may share certain personal information when we believe that such release is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property and safety of others and ourselves. We may also transfer personal information in the event of a corporate sale, merger, acquisition, dissolution or similar event.

Information from children

We will not knowingly or intentionally collect personal information online from children under the age of 13. We are committed to protecting the privacy of children.

Correcting & Updating Your Information

Dakis keeps your personal information up to date, accurate and relevant for its intended use. If customers need to update or change registration information, to update a user profile, to update organization's information, or to update billing information please email support@dakis.com or call 514-931-8820. To discontinue the Service and to have data returned, email support@dakis.com or call 514-931-8820. Subject to certain exceptions prescribed by law, and provided we can authenticate your identity, you will be given reasonable access to your personal information, and will be entitled to challenge the accuracy and completeness of the information and to have it amended as appropriate.

Will this Privacy Statement Change?

To accommodate changes in our service, the technology, and legal developments, this Statement may change over time. We may add, change, or remove portions of this Statement when we feel it is appropriate to do so. Whenever we update this Statement we will change the date on the Statement to indicate when the changes were made.
